ALLSTATE CANADA SOCCER FLAG BEARER CONTEST
OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

The sponsor of this promotion is Allstate Insurance Company of Canada (“Sponsor”).

CONTEST PERIOD:  The Allstate Canada Soccer Flag Bearer Contest (“Contest”) begins at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time on April 12th 2017 and ends at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time on August 9th, 2017 (the “Contest Period”).

ELIGIBILITY:  To be eligible to enter and win a prize in this Contest, an individual must be 18 years of age or older, a legal resident of Alberta, Ontario or Quebec, and the parent or legal guardian of a minor (on behalf of whom the entrant is entering) who, at all times during the Contest Period, is a member of an Under 13 (U-13) up to and including an Under 16 (U-16) soccer team which is affiliated with a community soccer club that is currently in good standing with its Provincial or Territorial Association.  Parents or legal guardians who enter the Contest on behalf of a minor will, if their eligible Entry (as defined below) is selected and they otherwise comply with these Rules (as defined below), accept the prize on the minor’s behalf; however, the minor will be declared the winner.  Individuals are not eligible to enter or win if they are an employee of the Sponsor or its parents, subsidiaries, affiliated and related companies, divisions, advertising, promotion or fulfillment agencies, the Canadian Soccer Association (collectively, the foregoing are referred to herein as the “Contest Parties”), the prize suppliers, or a member of the immediate family (defined as parents, siblings, children and spouse, regardless of where they live) or household (whether related or not) of, or are otherwise domiciled with, any of the above persons.

ENTRY:  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  During the Contest Period, eligible entrants may enter the Contest by visiting http://www.allstate.ca/webpages/about/csa.aspx?lang=en (the “Website”) and following the directions provided to fully complete and submit the online entry form and receive one (1) entry into the random drawing (each an “Entry”, collectively “Entries”).  The parent or legal guardian must complete all required fields on the Entry, including providing the parent or legal guardian’s name, age, mailing address, daytime telephone number and email address as well as the minor’s full name, age, gender and team name.  Entrants must also select the Canada Soccer Canadian Championship match (matches sponsored by the Sponsor for purposes of this Contest are scheduled to be held in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Edmonton from May 3 – June 27, 2017; see http://www.canadasoccer.com/amway-canadian-championship-s15045 for further details) or National Team match (matches sponsored by the Sponsor for purposes of this Contest are scheduled to be held in Toronto and Montreal in June and September 2017; see http://canadasoccer.com/?t=csa_schedule&tid=all&genderId=0 for further details) that the minor and his/her team guests members wish to participate in, based upon the entrant and minor’s city of residence, as flag bearers.  By submitting an Entry, each parent or legal guardian confirms that in the event the minor is the winner of a prize, acceptance of the prize will not result in the winner breaching the terms of any other agreement with a third party.  Each entrant will receive one (1) Entry into the Contest when the entrant submits an eligible Entry during the Contest Period in accordance with these Official Rules and Regulations (“Rules”).  Any Entry that does not follow the above format as determined by the Sponsor will be ineligible for entry in this Contest.

ENTRY SUBMISSION:  There is a limit of one (1) Entry per person/email address permitted.  For greater certainty, entrants can only use one email address to participate in the Contest.  If it is discovered by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor), that any person has attempted to: (i) obtain more than one (1) Entry during the Contest Period; and/or (ii) use (or attempt to use) multiple names, identities, addresses, and/or any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s) to enter or otherwise participate in or disrupt this Contest; then said entrant may be disqualified from the Contest in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.  The Released Parties are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete or incompatible Entries (all of which are void).

All Entries are subject to verification at any time and for any reason.  The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification): (a) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; (b) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of an Entry entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (c) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with these Rules.  Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of the Sponsor in a timely manner may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.  The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid Entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).

PRIZES:  There are eight (8) prizes available to be won in the Contest as follows:

(i)     Canadian Championship prizes (five (5) available at the start of the Contest):  each consists of thirty one (31) tickets (total) to a Canadian Championship match as selected by the entrant as part of his/her Entry (being fourteen (14) tickets for the winner and his/her team members, fourteen (14) tickets for the parent/legal guardian guests of the winner and his/her team members, and three (3) tickets for coaches of the winner’s team); or

(ii)     National Team prizes (three (3) available at the start of the Contest):  each consists of forty three (43) tickets (total) to a National Team match as selected by the entrant as part of his/her Entry (being twenty (20) tickets for the winner and his/her team members, twenty (20) tickets for the parent/legal guardian guests of the winner and his/her team members, and three (3) tickets for coaches of the winner’s team).

The Canadian Championship prizes and National Team prizes (collectively, “prizes”) also include participation by the winner, his/her team members (“team members” being members of the winner’s soccer team, each accompanied by a parent/legal guardian “guest” 18 years of age or older) as flag bearers in the Canadian Championship match or National Team match, as applicable, selected by the entrant as part of his/her Entry, a pizza dinner for the winner and his/her team members and guests, and an assortment of branded soccer merchandise for the winner and his/her team members.  Other than as described herein, no transportation, accommodations, meals, or any other ancillary costs which may be incurred by the winner, his/her team members and/or any guest in relation to the prize will be provided as part of any prize.  Canadian Championship match prizes have an approximate retail value of $1750 CAD.  National Team match prizes have an approximate retail value of $3500 CAD.

Prizes are non-transferable, must be accepted as awarded and cannot be auctioned, sold, or substituted for cash, certificate or otherwise.  Arrangements for fulfillment of the prizes will be confirmed by the Sponsor or a representative thereof with the winners by email, telephone, or such other method as determined by the Sponsor.  The Sponsor reserves the right to award a substitute prize or component thereof of equivalent or greater monetary value.  The prizes will only be released to the confirmed winners.  Prizes will only be awarded to the individuals whose verifiable email addresses are the sources of the selected Entries.

Parent or legal guardian of each prize winner must accompany the winner as the winner’s guest in all aspects of the winner’s use and enjoyment of the prize.  Should a parent or legal guardian, prize winner, and/or his/her team guests be unable to travel on the dates and at the times designated by the Sponsor, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to a randomly selected alternate entrant as determined by the Sponsor.  This process will be followed until all the prizes in the Contest have been awarded or there are no more eligible Entries, whichever occurs first.

The Sponsor or its designated representative will make a minimum of two (2) attempts to contact each selected entrant by telephone, email or such other method as determined by the Sponsor within two (2) business days of the applicable draw date.  If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within two (2) days of the random drawing, fails to confirm participation in the prize by the date indicated by the Sponsor on the declaration and release form, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; then said selected entrant may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the applicable prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such newly selected entrant).

GENERAL CONDITIONS:  All Entries become the property of the Sponsor. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.  The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of Entries and/or entrants.  By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions of these Rules. ANYONE DETERMINED TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THESE RULES FOR ANY REASON IS SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION IN THE SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION OF THE SPONSOR AT ANY TIME.

In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an Entry, Entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized holder of the email account submitted at the time of entry.  “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned the email address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses.  An entrant may be required to provide proof (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification) that he/she is the authorized holder of the email account associated with the Entry in question.

By entering this Contest, each entrant expressly authorizes the Sponsor and its agents and/or representatives, to store, share and use the personal information submitted with his/her Contest Entry for the purpose of administering the Contest, unless the entrant otherwise agrees.  Visit http://www.allstate.ca/webpages/custcare/privacy-matters.aspx for Sponsor’s Privacy Statement regarding collection, use and disclosure of personal information.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, with the consent of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux in Quebec, and without prior notice to adjust any of the dates and/or timeframes stipulated in these Rules, to the extent necessary, for purposes of verifying compliance by any entrant or Entry with these Rules, or as a result of any technical or other problems, or in light of any other circumstances that, in the opinion of the Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, affect the proper administration of the Contest as contemplated in these Rules, or for any other reason.  In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials; the terms and conditions of these Rules shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by law.

QUEBEC RESIDENTS:  Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling.  Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
