Allstate Canada Encourages Everyone to #ProtectPlay at 2018 Canadian International AutoShow

Toronto, February 16, 2018 -- Allstate Insurance Company of Canada returns as headline sponsor of the Canadian International AutoShow, scheduled to open its doors to the public this afternoon at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in downtown Toronto, Ontario.

This year Allstate Canada’s two exhibit locations feature a road safety and community protection theme. The main exhibit (in the North building) is focused on #ProtectPlay, and encourages drivers to keep their eyes on the road and slow down to help keep children and neighbourhoods safer. The booth will have fun and interactive activities for attendees - including a GIF generator, inspired by the company’s partnership with Canada Soccer - where visitors can show-off their superb goal saving skills, in addition to teaching consumers about insurance and how to shop for the best rates.

For the second location, in the south building, Allstate Canada once again joined forces with Safety 1st Canada to provide car seat safety information and installation demonstrations during the opening weekend - February 16to the 19 - and again the following weekend - 24 and 25.  Parents and caregivers are encouraged to stop by the co-branded booth to speak with certified car seat technicians.

“We are thrilled to be back at the Canadian International AutoShow this year, supporting something that is at the core of what we do,” says Marcelo Regen, Vice President, Allstate Brand, Allstate Insurance Company of Canada. “Keeping the communities where we do business safe is a top priority and through our work with Canada Soccer we are helping to Protect Play across the country by encouraging drivers to slow down and drive without distractions.”

In the spirt of protecting play, ‘slow down; kids at play’ lawn signs will be available at both booth locations for guests to take home and place around their neighbourhoods to encourage the conversation around keeping communities safe.

The Canadian International AutoShow is the largest convention of its kind in Canada and will run from February 16 to 25.  Allstate Canada’s main booth can be found at #F300-7 in the North Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and the secondary booth can be found in the South Building at#P241.
