Allstate Canada and the Canadian International AutoShow Encourage Everyone to #JustDrive

2017 AutoShow attendees - and Canadians across the country - asked to make the #JustDrive pledge for road safety.

TORONTO, ON, February 14, 2017 – Allstate Insurance Company of Canada and the Canadian International AutoShow are pleased to announce a new partnership to help take a stand against distracted driving.

"It’s great to be back at the Canadian International AutoShow again this year as cars and insurance go hand-in-hand, but we are especially excited to be partnering with them on a Distracted Driving awareness initiative,” says Marcelo Regen, Vice President, Allstate Brand, Allstate Insurance Company of Canada. "With distracted driving causing more collisions on Canadian roads than ever before, we’re fortunate to have this opportunity to connect with so many show goers to shed a light on this growing concern and discuss safe driving practices to help make our roads safer.”

Over the month of February, the Canadian International AutoShow and Allstate, the official insurance sponsor of the show, will be promoting the #JustDrive pledge initiative encouraging Canadians across the country to either sign the pledge wall at Allstate’s AutoShow booth (located on the North building on the 300 level), or by making an online pledge using #JustDrive to show their commitment to avoid distractions whenever driving. The goal is to secure at least 4,000 new pledges over the month.

"The AutoShow offers a great opportunity to connect with over 320,000 attendees and kick start the pledge campaign,” says Jason Campbell, General Manager of the AutoShow. “We’re proud to be working with Allstate Canada and to join their Just Drive Canada program to help combat distracted driving together."

The #JustDrive pledge wall is part of Allstate’s overall family-focused event space at this year’s show. Not only will visitors to the booth be able to take the pledge, they’ll also have the opportunity to speak directly with Allstate’s insurance advisors, enter for a chance to win a one-year lease on a Kia and - because kids and those young at heart will be in attendance - the booth also features a free #AllstateSuperhero photo experience to those who visit the booth.

AutoShow visitors who are new, or expecting parents, should also be sure to visit a co-branded Allstate Canada and Safety 1st Canada booth in the South Building (800 level) for car seat safety information and car seat installation demonstrations that will be offered at scheduled times throughout the course of the show. A limited number of lawn signs cautioning drivers to “slow down; kids at play” will also be available for lucky attendees.
