Allstate Canada Supports Canadian Red Cross to Strengthen Disaster Preparedness and Response Nationwide
Markham, ON — December 8, 2025 — Allstate Insurance Company of Canada (“Allstate”) is proud to announce its partnership with the Canadian Red Cross through a $50,000 contribution to the Disaster Response Alliance (DRA). This contribution represents a key milestone in Allstate’s renewed $100,000 Disaster Strategy, reinforcing its commitment to helping communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural disasters and emergencies.
In addition to providing insurance coverage to help customers recover following a natural disaster, Allstate has a long-standing history of providing additional support to communities in times of crisis, primarily through corporate donations and employee matching campaigns tied to Canadian Red Cross appeals. Building on this foundation, the company is evolving its approach with a refreshed Disaster Strategy, which expands support to include preparedness initiatives, alongside both proactive and reactive response and recovery efforts.
“We know that disasters don’t just affect homes – they disrupt lives,” said Jessica Long, VP, Head of Legal, Allstate Canada; VP, The Allstate Foundation of Canada. “That’s why we’re evolving our approach to disaster response. By partnering with the Canadian Red Cross, we’re not only helping communities recover – we’re helping them prepare. It’s about being there for Canadians before, during, and after a crisis.”
Allstate’s contribution will directly support emergency management and disaster risk reduction efforts across the country. This may include support for the Canadian Red Cross to recruit and train front-line disaster response volunteers, strategically pre-position emergency supplies, and deliver immediate assistance – such as food, shelter, and support services – during small-to-large scale disasters. It also supports longer-term recovery services, including community planning and rebuilding efforts. The partnership also opens doors for employee engagement and volunteerism, aligning with Allstate’s commitment to community involvement.
In addition to the DRA contribution, and as part of the company’s updated Disaster Strategy, Allstate is in the process of launching a new Local Disaster Preparedness Grant Program to support non-profit organizations in high-risk areas. This initiative aims to fill a gap in Canadian disaster readiness by funding community-led preparedness projects.
Allstate will also continue to run employee matching campaigns for Canadian Red Cross appeals that support disasters or emergencies– amplifying the impact of individual donations and reinforcing its commitment to supporting communities.
“Our employees care deeply about the communities where they live and work,” added Long. “By matching employee donations to Canadian Red Cross appeals, we’re not just doubling the impact – we’re showing our teams that their generosity matters. It’s one of the ways this partnership brings our values to life and helps communities when they need it most.”
